given some good commentary, I've tweaked a bit in a shot at bringing the figure more in line to the rest of the piece. Of course the trick is in the lighting, the idea being she's harshly lit anyway, and by bringing some of the values around I think its a bit more effective.

Better shadowing in this version Bryan! From the subtle ones on the trouser creases/ folds to her own on the hatchway door & wall behind her. Sharper and more in line with the sudden danger aura the picture emanates.

Wow, Bry. Small changes...BIG difference! The piece looks alot more cohesive. When I first saw the side-by-side images the difference was very evident. That's one of the big advantages to knowing how to use digital techniques. The ability to easily go back into a piece and make changes (both subtle and major).
